Dear parents and students,
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you to the new academic session. As I step into my new role of the Teaching & Learning Coach (Secondary) I will draw upon my deep experience as the Head of the Business Department since 2015 and twenty plus years of teaching experience during which I have developed an insight of innovative teaching and pedagogical approaches. With my leadership inputs I was able to ensure consistently outstanding learner outcomes and high quality teaching standards. I am committed to support my students and colleagues to ensure they maximize their potential and achieve their aspirations.
At The Winchester School we believe in the concept of student-centered, technology-rich learning to create lifelong learners. Our emphasis in the new academic session will be on using blended learning as a powerful tool to deliver a superior learning experience. Furthermore, developing and nurturing highly skilled teachers, holistic development of all students and promoting a collaborative culture will be my key priorities as the Teaching & Learning coach. Given the recent shift in the educational paradigm we envisage a far more active role of the parents as stakeholders. Our single unified goal remains empowering accountable, self-motivated learners well equipped with life-skills to be successful in higher education and in the world of work.
As I embark on this journey as the Teaching & Learning Coach of the Secondary school I look forward to partnering closely with the students, educators, the parent body as well as the wider community to ensure the highest standards of excellence and optimal student outcomes.
