Dear Parents and Students,

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of you to the new academic session. As I step into my new role as Vice Principal, I am dedicated to pursuing educational excellence and committed to supporting student growth.  I have always enjoyed my engagement with students and staff as the Head of Secondary and previously as Head of Science, ensuring consistently outstanding student outcomes. I am confident continuing my close partnership with all stakeholders and commitment to engaging in meaningful collaborations to ensure they maximize their potential and achieve their aspirations. I welcome you all to our Winchester family where, “Every Child Matters”.

In my role as Vice Principal, I will also be the Child safeguarding Officer of the school. I, along with my team will ensure that children’s wellbeing is kept foremost in all endeavors, students are healthy, safe and happy.

We dedicatedly ensure that quality of teaching for effective learning is secure through our robust provision and enhanced support for the personalisation of the learning journey for every child. Our optimistic approach to bring out the best in everyone, help them realize and achieve their dreams and aspirations. We ensure the school continues to achieve its journey of excellence and high aspirations with world class education and support UAE’s National Agenda. Through a highly enriched curriculum and various international benchmark assessments across different phases of school, it allows us to hone the unique skills of each student and prepare them to apply said skills in practicality. Starting from Progress Test, PASS and CAT4 across many key year groups in Primary and Secondary and TIMSS and PISA benchmark assessments provides comprehensive analysis of their aptitude, attitude, attainment and progress compared with peers of their age from all over the world.

I along with leaders and teams ensure all the assessment data from benchmark assessments and internal assessments is used to identify strengths and gaps which will be most instrumental in personalization and informs teachers to better support and challenge every learner to achieve their potential and beyond. This is evident with our raised academic standards and progressively upward trend across all phases and external examinations -IGCSE, AS and A level results.

At Winchester we believe enjoyment in learning brings out the best in our learners. We continually review all that we already offer in our very wide range of extra-curricular and enrichment activities to students across all three terms and also encourage students to lead new initiatives catering to student interests and aspirations I urge each parent to encourage their child(ren) to participate in as many and make the most of the wide spread of opportunities as I endorse a wholesome development of every child.
