The Council of International Schools (CIS)

The Council of International Schools (CIS) is a membership community committed to high quality international education. As a global non-profit membership organisation, CIS provides services to education institutions that share these ideals:

a desire to provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to pursue their lives as global citizens; and

a commitment to high quality international education.

To achieve this goal, their members must infuse their programmes and offerings with international and intercultural perspective so that students can move forward with the attitudes and understanding that will provide them with a solid base wherever their studies or work may take them. Primary and secondary school members must further commit to undertaking an ongoing external quality assurance process to enhance student learning.

Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) International Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is also known as DofE, The Head of State Award, The President's Award Scheme, The International Award for Young People, and the Governor General's Youth Award. The Award is available to all 14-24 year olds and is the world’s leading youth achievement award. It equips young people for life regardless of their background, culture, physical ability, skills and interests. Doing the Award is a personal challenge and not a competition against others; it pushes young people to their personal limits and recognises their achievements.

Common Sense School

Our school has been approved as a Common Sense Certified School in 2018, an honor that recognizes our efforts in teaching digital citizenship to young people and engaging the entire school community in this important discussion. The recognition acknowledges our school’s commitment creating a culture of digital learning and citizenship.

This honor is provided by Common Sense Education, part of a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of kids and families by providing the trustworthy information, education, and independent voice they need to thrive in a world of media and technology.
