Welcome Message from Pallavi Mallick - Head of Inclusion
The Winchester School, Dubai is an inclusive school committed to fostering a learning environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
Our vision for Inclusive Education is to ensure that all students receive the support they need to meaningfully belong to their school and wider community, feel valued for their unique contributions, engage purposefully in learning, and experience academic, social, emotional, and cultural success within a common learning environment.
At The Winchester School, Dubai, Every Child matters we welcome students with a diverse range of learning profiles and strengths, including Students of Determination (students with special educational needs and disabilities), students who are gifted and talented, and students learning English as an additional language. Our dedicated staff are committed to educating all students alongside their age-appropriate peers through high-quality inclusive practices. We believe that diversity enriches our school community, and we strive to create an environment where respectful relationships flourish and every learner can actively participate through personalized support, appropriate accommodations, and evidence-based teaching strategies.
To ensure that we provide the best possible support for your child, we kindly request that families share comprehensive information regarding any special educational needs, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and reports from Educational Psychologists, Pediatricians, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, or other relevant specialists, where available. Sharing this educational history prior to admission enables our Inclusion Team to assess needs effectively, plan appropriate support, and ensure resources are in place to facilitate a successful transition..
We are committed to providing equitable access to education and do not refuse admission solely on the basis of a student's special educational needs or disability. Our practices align with the guidance and regulations set forth by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). In the rare circumstances where it may be determined that a placement is not in the best interests of the student, families will be supported through the appropriate KHDA processes and procedures.
We look forward to partnering with you to ensure your child feels welcomed, supported, and successful as a valued member of The Winchester School community.
Together, we nurture confident, resilient, and empowered learners who are prepared to thrive in a diverse and ever-changing world.
